The GTA V pre-orders are just about underway with all sorts of special gifts and promotional items being given to those who order in stores on November 5th and afterwards. There have also been images leaked online of various locations and a look at a few posters for the new game. Now fans of the game await the next video trailer. However, Rockstar Games, like many residents and businesses in New York City, have been affected by Hurricane Sandy. This has led to a delay in the release of that next trailer for the game.
According to GameRanx.com, Rockstar commented on a recent Newswire post they had made, saying:
"We are working on a second trailer - unfortunately Hurricane Sandy has derailed our somewhat but we will have something to show soon. It's hard to be precise as we have no power whatsoever in our New York office. We hope everyone else in affected areas is doing okay."
While fans have waited a while since the original trailer first surfaced to see a new one, it's more than understandable that there's a delay. The important thing is that recovery efforts are made in New York City and other areas affected by Sandy, rather than worrying about having a video game trailer. It's hoped that things will improve not only for Rockstar's situation but for all those others who have been dealing with power outages, loss of food, heat and other daily amenities that many people are able to enjoy in other areas of the nation.
There's no official word on when that trailer might be expected, but there will be pre-orders for the game starting on Monday. Will you be one of the many heading to a retail store to pre-order, or will you order online instead?
